Symphony Song Academy

A symphonic song is a unique genre, thanks to the performance of a musical part by a large composition of a symphony orchestra, it is capable of conveying the fullness of musical harmony and a palette of feelings in one piece. Appearing in the mid-twentieth century, represented by works performed by prominent world and Russian artists: Frank Sinatra, Engelbert Humperdink, Shirley Bassey, Andy Williams, Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Whitney Houston, Lara Fabian, Muslim Magomayev, Maya Crystalinskaya, Edita P'eha, Eduard Khil, Klavdiya Shulzhenko, today a symphonic song is unfairly deprived of proper attention. But this genre has a great potential for development, embodies the best traditions of world and Russian songs, makes possible the actual reading and presentation of world pop classics in a symphonic form, expands the boundaries of harmony perception, reveals new dimensions of musical art.

The purpose of the Symphony Song Academy is to study and systematize information, develop and distribute the musical direction (genre) of a symphonic song, meet the needs of a wide range of consumers in information about this musical direction (genre), in cultural entertainment events and performing arts, organizing events, which would allow to draw attention to this genre, transfer the skills and secrets of performance skills to young musicians, meet the needs mass listener in this high-quality music.

The Academy implements its activities in the following forms and directions:

  • the study and creation of musical works in the genre of symphonic songs;
  • sound recording and publishing of musical works;
  • conducting seminars, workshops and other events;
  • organization of concerts, productions, forums, festivals;
  • establishment, organization and conduct, support of contests, ratings and awards;
  • interaction with cultural, educational institutions, concert organizations, international cooperation;
  • creation of web-portals, promotional activities;
  • publication of books, manuals, reference books.

The management of the Symphony Song Academy is carried out by the Executive Director.

In the structure of the Academy, the Council was created - an advisory body to consider the development of a symphonic song, proposals for the strategic development of the Academy.

Also in the structure of the Academy operates the Supervisory Board. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, along with the Executive Director, is a member of the Council of the Symphony Song Academy.

The Symphony Song Academy initiates a Festival of symphonic songs in 2020 in the city of Moscow and in the regions of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of the festival, concert programs with the participation of outstanding vocalists, regional symphony orchestras, master classes, competitions, exhibitions and other cultural events will be presented at the regional philharmonic halls and concert halls. Having started in Moscow, the festival of symphonic songs will unite all regions of Russia, stopping for 2-3 days in each of them.

The aim of the festival is to popularize the symphonic song genre, support the best domestic song traditions and symphonic music, develop and engage in active work of regional symphonic orchestras, musicians in all corners of Russia.

The Symphony Song Academy invites all interested parties, concert organizations, musicians, and partners who have the opportunity to contribute to the event to cooperate in organizing and holding the festival.
